mGard Mechanical Trapped Key Interlocks

mGard is Fortress range of mechanical trapped key interlocks. 3rd party approved, products are suitable for use up to PLe/Cat. 4 or SIL 3.
Trapped key interlocking can be used to enforce complex safety sequences, particularly where multiple energy sources (e.g., electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic) are involved.
Mechanical interlocks eliminate most of the electrical wiring associated with other types of interlocks, making mGard cost effective and easy to install and maintain.

amGard Ethernet Enabled Interlock

A completely configurable safety solution designed to meet the exact requirements of your application.
Designed, tested and third-party certified for use up to PLe/Cat. 4 or SIL 3. Suitable for a wide range of industries where safety and risk management are paramount, including but not limited to manufacturing, automotive, F&B, and warehouse automation.
Pushbutton controls and trapped key options can all be combined into a single unit, providing a cost-efficient solution.
Network connectivity is made possible with proNet, the add-on module developed by Fortress that allows amGardpro to communicate with the main industrial network protocols: EtherNet/IP, PROFINET and EtherCAT.

The HGL features an open, stainless-steel & easy-to-clean design with an 8,000N retention force. FDA approved PBT rubber seals and no metal-on-metal contact guarantee maximum protection against water and foreign body ingress during clean in place procedures.
HGL is an addition to the Louis range of interlocking solutions, designed for the harshest cleaning and washdown applications. All products within the Louis range are designed with the highest level of ingress protection IP69 and are third party tested and approved.

Explosive Atmospheres

A range of robust, heavy duty interlocking devices designed and certified to be used in hazardous locations and explosive atmospheres.
These mechanical and electromechanical interlocks are suitable for industries where combustible dusts or flammable gases may be present.
With ATEX, IECEx, UKEx, CCCEx and North American HazLoc certificates, the range includes solenoid interlocks and switch interlocks suitable for use up to Zone 1 (Gas) and Zone 21 (Dust), and atmosphere ignition temperatures of above 85°C.
Made of tough stainless-steel enclosures and with an IP69 rating, Alfred is perfect for any harsh dusty environment.

Light Curtain and Interlock Blocking

Named after Osbourn Dorsey who invented the modern-day door handle and door stopper, the Osbourn range is designed to offer protection against unexpected start-up.
Compatible with a wide range of interlocks on sliding (IBL-S) or hinged (IBL-H) guards, as well as light curtains (PBL), Osbourn devices have integrated mounting plates for simple installation. With no need for wiring, our Osbourn solutions are designed to be easily installed on to systems that do not already provide a proactive inhibit function.
The devices in the Osbourn range come with personnel key(s), protecting operators who work inside the safeguarded space from being trapped and preventing the restart of the machine.
